In brief

What is Mailkrypt?

Mailkrypt is a sovereign European mail server: the encrypted SMTP/IMAP infrastructure where the SANTVIA galaxy clients plug in, starting with Sekervia. Encrypted at rest and in transit, hosted in the European Union, telemetry-free — the sovereign alternative to US mail servers.

The problem

A sovereign client isn't enough if the server isn't

You can perfect your mail client and still let your mail travel and rest on infrastructure outside Europe. The server sees everything: content, metadata, address books. Until the server is sovereign and encrypted, the mail line stays exposed — to commercial scanning, to lock-in.

The server sees everything

On a classic mail server, mail is stored in clear text: the host, its subcontractors and any extraterritorial order can reach it.

Non-EU dependency

Servers hosted outside Europe, on non-European foundations: the client's sovereignty is undone by the server's.

Neglected transport

Without MTA-STS, DANE and DNSSEC, a message can be intercepted or downgraded to clear text between servers. SPF/DKIM/DMARC authentication is too often incomplete.

What Mailkrypt does

The mail server where sovereignty begins

Mailkrypt takes a proven mail stack and hardens it for sovereignty: encrypted storage, locked transport, European hosting, and a clean anchor point for the galaxy clients.

A complete mail infrastructure

Standard SMTP and IMAP on an open, proven stack (Postfix/Dovecot), multi-domain and multi-account, quotas, anti-spam and anti-phishing. A real mail server, not a patched-up gateway.

Per-user encryption at rest

Each account's mail is encrypted at rest with its own key, unlocked by the password: decryption stays transparent for any standard client, without reinventing the protocol.

Transport locked end to end

MTA-STS, DANE and DNSSEC against interception and downgrade; strict TLS everywhere; SPF, DKIM and DMARC aligned to authenticate every sender and protect your domain.

The galaxy's foundation

Mailkrypt is the server where Sekervia and the sovereign communication suite plug in — client and server under European control, from the desktop to storage. It can also serve as standalone secure mail hosting.

Features

A hardened mail server, no compromise

What Mailkrypt brings to mail infrastructure — best-in-class, with sovereignty on top.

SMTP & IMAP

Sending and receiving over open protocols, proven Postfix/Dovecot stack, standard sync for any compliant client.

Encryption at rest

Per-user key, unlocked by the password, transparent decryption over IMAP. Storage stays unreadable without the account.

Hardened transport

MTA-STS, DANE, DNSSEC, strict TLS: no interception or clear-text downgrade between servers.

Authentication

SPF, DKIM and DMARC aligned to authenticate your outbound mail and protect your domain from spoofing.

Anti-spam & anti-phishing

Filtering of junk mail and phishing attempts at the door, with no commercial scanning of content.

Multi-domain

Several domains and accounts on one infrastructure, quotas and isolation, built for scale.

Galaxy anchor

The server where Sekervia and the sovereign communication suite plug in: a 100% European mail line.

Hosted in the EU

Infrastructure in the European Union, no critical non-EU dependency.

Zero lock-in

Standard protocols, guaranteed export: you stay free to leave with your data, no lock-in.

Encryption & security

Encrypted at rest, locked in transit

Two complementary layers: storage becomes unreadable without the account, and mail never travels in clear text between servers.

Note (honesty). Client-side end-to-end encryption (PGP/S-MIME, E2E messaging) belongs to Sekervia and Kryptline; Mailkrypt secures the server and transport. Sector certifications (HDS, SecNumCloud) are in progress and are not presented as obtained.

Who it's for

Three audiences, one requirement

SANTVIA galaxy

The foundation of sovereign clients

The server where Sekervia and the communication suite plug in: client and server under European control, a 100% EU mail line, from desktop to storage.

Public body

Sovereign mail hosting

A mail infrastructure hosted in the EU, encrypted and telemetry-free, to replace non-European servers and take back control of your data.

Regulated SME & operator

Infrastructure that passes the audit

Encryption at rest, hardened transport, aligned authentication: a mail server that meets compliance demands, with no non-EU dependency.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Mailkrypt?

Mailkrypt is a sovereign European mail server: the encrypted SMTP/IMAP infrastructure where the SANTVIA galaxy clients plug in, starting with Sekervia. It is hosted in the European Union, encrypted at rest and in transit, telemetry-free.

How is it different from Sekervia?

Sekervia is the mail client (the application). Mailkrypt is the server: storage, sending and receiving. Together they form a 100% European mail line, from client to server, with no non-EU dependency.

How does the encryption work?

Mail is encrypted at rest per user: the key is unlocked by the account password, making decryption transparent for any standard client. Transport is hardened by MTA-STS, DANE/DNSSEC and strict TLS.

Does Mailkrypt use standard protocols?

Yes: standard IMAP and SMTP, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC for authentication. Any compliant client can connect, with no lock-in, and export is guaranteed.

Where is my data hosted?

In the European Union only, on European infrastructure, with no critical non-EU dependency. No telemetry, content-free logs.

Is Mailkrypt HDS or SecNumCloud certified?

Mailkrypt is architected for European sovereignty and security. Sector certifications (HDS, SecNumCloud) are considered depending on use; they are in progress and not presented as obtained.

How can I access it?

Mailkrypt is in construction (early access). Write to contact@santvia.eu for a pilot or an evaluation.

SANTVIA, the sovereign galaxy
